It is true that sometimes we have to be independent. It is not surprising if the person you are dependent on may disappoint you in any way. For example, you are upset and plan to spend some fun time with the person you lean on, eventually it may not end up with happiness but another sorrow. What for? Don't you think we should grab our happiness on our own but not relying on others? When you can be so independent and used to do all these alone, what would happen next? You no longer need anyone. It sounds impossible but theoretically it is true.

I think somehow you are right. I need to add my 2 cents as well, I believe people needs to live in couple, nonetheless it will be a lot of troubles. I believe all of us needs to learn how to love and respect to ourselves before going to relation.
I started to doubt the meaning of marriage. Do we just have it because it is a nature?
Having doubt I believe is start of learning. You are in a good thread, just keep going.
I believe marriage is not come from nature, i think marriage is a practice to be one soul from 2 souls and bodies. This is the way that i look into marriage.
